Description
The M16® series is the most popular CRKT has ever developed. The late Kit Carson designed this and many of his other groundbreaking knives in his shop in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Kit’s lasting legacy comes from his influence on the knife industry—he’s known for popularizing the flipper, which is now a household component. He is also remembered for his service in the U.S. Military, retiring as Master Sergeant, and as a member of the Cutlery Hall of Fame. The M16-02SS maintains the popular aspects of Kit’s original tactically-inspired everyday carry folding knife.
Built with a tanto, high-quality Sandvik 12C27™ blade for excellent edge retention, it’s topped with a bead blast finish to reduce any unwanted glare or reflection. With its hardy frame lock, the blade is securely held in place in the midst of whatever job you put in front of it. The stainless steel handle sides are penetrated with multiple holes which keep it light weight and gives a distinctive look.
The 3-1/8″ tanto plain edge blade has a hardness of 59-61 Rc. The closed length measures 4-1/4″. The pocket clip is reversible for a tip-up or tip-down right or left hand carry. Weighs 3.6 oz. Made in Tawain. Suggested Retail $69.99.
